A2/A2 Golden Milk Herdshare
The Jersey Difference
Our milk is provided by our Jersey herd, known for producing the richest "Golden Milk" in the world. By focusing oån a natural, forage-based diet—supplemented with locally sourced, no-spray alfalfa and hay from neighboråing family farms—our cows produce milk with a deep cream line and exceptional nutrient density.
The A2/A2 Advantage
We take health seriously, which is why our herd is confirmed A2/A2. Many people who experience discomfort with conventional store-bought dairy find that A2/A2 milk is much gentler on the digestive system. It is dairy as nature intended.
How the Herdshare Works
In accordance with Oregon law (ORS 621.012), we do not "sell" raw cow's milk. Instead, we offer a Herdshare Program. When you join, you are purchasing an ownership interest in our dairy herd. As a co-owner, you pay a weekly fee for the professional care, boarding, and milking of your animals (known as an agistment fee).
Share Options & Maintenance Fees
Half Share: 1/2 Gallon per week | $13.00 / week
Full Share: 1 Gallon per week | $18.00 / week
Billing: Shares are billed at the beginning of each month based on the number of weeks in that month.
Getting Started: The Buy-In
To become a member, there is a one-time $100 Herdshare Fee. This fee covers your membership onboarding, the registration of your legal contract, and your initial set of glass jars.
Member Responsibilities & Safety
As a herdshare member, you are responsible for the handling of your fresh milk once it leaves our farm.
The Cold Chain: Raw milk is a living food. It must be kept at 40°F or below at all times. Members are required to bring a cooler with ice packs for transport—even for short drives. Milk that warms up will sour prematurely.
Creative Freedom: Once you collect your share, it is yours to use. Enjoy it fresh, or use your cream to craft raw butter, artisan cheeses, yogurt, or kefir. You may also home-pasteurize if you wish.
Bonus Provisions: From time to time, we may offer additional dairy goods (like yogurt) exclusively to our herdshare members.
Join the Waitlist
We keep our herd small to ensure the highest quality of care and milk. Membership is subject to availability.
🚜 Oregon Compliance Note
Under Oregon law, raw cow's milk from small-scale farms (fewer than 3 lactating cows) may only be distributed directly to the owners/consumers on the premises where it is produced. By joining this herdshare, you are exercising your right to consume milk from your own animals on the farm site.
